After spending thirteen years in the Information Technology industry, Steve Leslie Lewis, who has a First Class Degree in Computer Information Systems, is a graduate of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (G.CInst.M) and is also an Associate Member of The Institute of Analysts and Programmers (AMIAP), completely changed career path to follow his passion for music and entertainment.
Initially working as the resident disc jockey at London’s Limelight Nightclub, Steve then progressed to performing at an increasingly wide and diverse range of parties, events and shows.
In 1999 Steve started, and currently is the Managing Director of, The Mobile Music Company, a company created with a view to bringing together a highly experienced team of professional disc jockeys capable of entertaining at the highest level worldwide. Steve has performed and supplied musical entertainment for events across the United Kingdom as well as Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, The Seychelles, The Caribbean Islands, The Mediterranean Islands, Switzerland, Sardinia, Morocco, Hungary and the USA.
A huge back catalogue of music makes him the perfect DJ choice for both conventional and themed parties.
Steve provided the musical entertainment for the Buckingham Palace Christmas Events every year between 2001 – 2006 in the presence of HM The Queen and other members of the Royal Family, as well as the disc jockey entertainment for the Golden Jubilee events again held at Buckingham Palace.
Steve has been the disc jockey for the Oscars After Party in Hollywood, hosted by Vanity Fair, and also the Cannes Film Festival After Party.
The repertoire of UK venues where entertainment has been supplied include The Ritz, The Dorchester, The Grosvenor, Kensington Palace, Hampton Court Palace, Blenheim Palace, The Savoy, Claridges, Madame Tussauds, The Café Royal The NEC, Birmingham, The ICC, Birmingham, The Natural History Musem and Wentworth.
Steve was also the disc jockey for Pierce Brosnan’s Wedding at Ashford Castle, Michael Flatley’s ‘Lord Of The Dance’ After Party, Billy Joel’s ‘London Tour’ After Party as well as private events for Sir Elton John, Sting and Colin Montgomerie.
Film premieres include ‘The Man In The Iron Mask’, The Living Daylights’ and ‘The World Is Not Enough’.
He has worked onstage with Tina Turner, Jools Holland, Girls Aloud, Pete Tong, Boy George, Sister Sledge, Lemar, Katrina and the Waves, Edwin Starr, Beverley Knight, Groove Armada, Daniel Beddingfield and Mylo.
Steve has also worked on corporate award shows with Paul Ross, Rory Bremner, John Inverdale and Rufus Hound, and provided the music in the corporate hospitality lounge for Tottenham Hotspur FC Champions League matches during the 2010/11 season.
Most recently, Steve provided the musical entertainment for the after-party celebrating Arsenal Football Club’s 2017 FA Cup Final Victory, and the after-Party for the 2018 Olivier Awards
Amongst the nightclubs that Steve has worked at are Browns, The Emporium, The Groucho Club, Equinox, The Limelight, The Kensington Roof Gardens and The Ministry of Sound.
